Many photographers say, a good picture has to be sharp. Usually I also throw all the unsharp or otherwise “bad” pictures away in the first step of the workflow, which is the first scan of the pictures after importing them to adobe lightroom. But sometimes there are pictures that are not sharp, shot with high iso and a bit noisy -”bad” pictures. And I keep them. Because they are not sharp, but focused.
The camera sees the world with her own eyes. A photographic picture is more than a snapshot of realtity. It is – in the end – the interpretation of the reality by the photographer. A good photographer has it´s own view of the world, his own focus which means much more than the accurate focus of the lens. Look at this picture for example … dancing girl. It is not really sharp. But it is focused on emotion, concentration and humanity.
